By Marta Rauch, Candidate for the STC Nominating Committee

My name is Marta Rauch, and I am a candidate for a position on the STC Nominating Committee. Please vote for me in the 2014 election.

I bring to this position a strong network of STC members at the chapter and society level, and a proven ability to work well with others to deliver results. As a member of the Nominating Committee, I will do my best to develop an outstanding slate of candidates for society elections.

Leadership Experience

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong ability to lead teams, mentor others, and build strategic networks. These strengths will allow me to serve successfully on the Nominating Committee.

My background includes:

• STC Associate Fellow
• Vice president, program manager, and mentor for STC Silicon Valley
• Judge for International Summit Awards
• Reviewer for Summit proposals, and manager for the mobile track
• Recipient of 15 STC awards at the regional and international level
• Author of STC Intercom articles
• Presenter at many chapter meetings, webinars, and conferences

I am currently a senior principal information developer at Oracle in California. My previous roles have included curriculum development, training, and editing. I speak several languages, and have worked in Spain and Germany. I hold a BA from Stanford University, a teaching credential, and a certificate in technical communication.
