Since 2010, each quarterly issue of the Carolina Communiqué has been available as an ebook. Previously, I've shown you how we create create these ebook issues. But what if you don't want to wait for the quarterly issue? What if you want to download a single article to your favorite mobile device...right now?

Well, now you can!

Recently, we added a Save as ebook option to each article, allowing to instantly convert an article to an ebook (either EPUB or MOBI format) and download it to your mobile device. We've added the dotEPUB widget to this site, which "is software in the cloud that allows you to convert any webpage into an ebook."

To use it:
  1. From any Communiqué article or page, click the Print button Print .
  2. On the "printer-pretty" page, click Save as ebook.
    Save as ebook button.
    Saving as an ebook.
  3. You'll then be asked if you want to include the images in your ebook.
    Include images prompt.
    Including the images.
  4. Then you'll be able to select the ebook format (EPUB or MOBI).
    Select format
    Selecting the ebook format.
The dotEPUB site will convert the article and allow you to download the ebook. Then, simply open the file in your eReader!

Like it? The dotEPUB site also has a browser extension and bookmarklet that you can install in order to create an ebook from nearly any website.

This video shows how easy it is to convert any page to an ebook:
